1. What we collect

• Account: name, email, password (stored as a secure hash — we cannot read it), and phone if you add it.
• Hauler listings: display name, vehicle details and photos, services, rates, service area, and verification documents (licence, insurance, vehicle photo).
• Jobs and messages: job details, photos you upload, and messages sent through the platform.
• Location: the browse location and service area you set. If you use "near me", your device asks permission first.
• Payments: hauler subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe identifiers — we never see or store card numbers.
• Technical: basic logs (IP, browser, pages) for security and debugging.

2. What we use it for

• Running the marketplace: showing listings, matching jobs to nearby haulers, delivering messages and notifications.
• Verification and trust: reviewing hauler documents, showing the Verified badge, ratings and reviews.
• Billing hauler subscriptions through Stripe.
• Support, safety, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

3. What we share

• With other users: your public listing or review content, first name, and — after a booking is confirmed — contact details needed to complete the job.
• Service providers: Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and push-notification delivery services. They process data only to provide their service.
• Legal: if required by law or to protect users and the platform.
• We do not sell your personal information.

4. Verification documents

Licence and insurance uploads are used only to verify your listing. They are not shown to other users, and access is restricted to administrators reviewing verification.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us; we will delete it except where we must retain records (for example, billing records required by tax law).

6. Notifications

Push notifications are opt-in and can be turned off any time from your profile or your device settings.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage for app preferences (like dismissing the install banner). No advertising trackers.

8. Children

SmallMoves is not for anyone under 18.
